A water bear is one the strangest creatures you will ever see.
Alan sent me an article about what they are doing with them in space ,which I fully intended to write about. The thing about blogging though is that you have to strike while the iron is hot, otherwise another blogger will beat you to it. In this case it's Nick!

If you think tardigrades are strange, then you should find out more about barnacles. Now they really are weird.
BTW, given the state of your health - I'm really surprised that you haven't heard the term "nadgered" before ;-)
