Question of the week: Can you translate Japanese symbols into English words?

This is driving me mad. I must know what these are and what they are for. (yesterday's post) 

An extensive Google search has revealed nothing so plan B is to translate the Japanese symbols on the box:

Luckily I am fluent in this. It says "How to keep an Englishman occupied for days."
