In preparation for the birdwatching and butterfly trip to Venezuala on Thursday, I realised I needed a proper tripod and a big spotting scope. To my surprise UniM allowed me to spend quite a lot of money on the tripod:
But she did rather restrict me with the spotting scope

That tripod must weigh a ton. Change it for a lightweight photographic tripod which will be more than adequate for a small scope like that.

The pic is one of our completed jigsaws. We frame all our puzzles and hang them as talking points at parties. Don't you??
Alan; Yes, at 1.7kg it's going to be a bit much in the Andes.
